Plants do not respond equally to environmental changes. In this new papers just published in Frontiers in Genetics we describe two herbs from the Carajás altitude fields respond. RADSeq shows that there was structuring in the populations in the region. However, for these resilient annual species habitat loss did not impact the population genetics. We point to the need to conduct studies to understand the landscape genetics and environment consequences for each critical species.
